The week of announcements continues, and this one’s a dousy (doozie? doosie?).
We recently headed up to the gem that is Gloucester, MA to do an interview and performance with the gem that is Meg Griffin. Meg’s a DJ legend, having been an institution at the big ones like K-rock in New York and WMMR in Philly. Now she’s on the Sirius XM station The Loft, where she basically gets to play whatever she wants.
Wouldncha know it, she wanted to play us, so we did a live set at Tony Goddess’s Bang a Song Studio. We talked veterinarians, awkward dancing, coffee cans and Tom Waits. And then we did a Waits tune.
Below are the air times, and here’s what Sirius XM says about it:
Boston based rockers Kingsley Flood are “Having Words With Meg.”
With their recent second release Colder Still, these upstarts revv things up with their gumbo of Punk Americana…and everything from the Sax to the Fiddle to the Coffee Can are part of the sound.
If Tom Waits is one of their heroes, we think we can trust ‘em!
…And they’ll throw in a Waits cover for good measure.
