Auricular Chaos

Thanks to the Weekly Dig and Hilary Hughes for the review of the new EP, Colder Still.* And, excellent use of “Auricular chaos,” which may or may not be the name of our new death-metal side project. * which, by the way, is still available for pre-order. Just sayin.

Sleeping Over

We were excited to be asked to play a Sleepover Show a few months back. Learning quickly it wasn’t an actual sleepover, we put away the leopard-print snuggie and picked up some acoustic-ish instruments. Managed to still have a good time on a dark and rainy night.

Sold-Out Soy

Boston rock city, we salute you. Thanks so much for three amazing sold-out nights at the Lizard Lounge this past weekend. There was no better way to celebrate the new EP than with amazing crowds (some of you pounding trash cans), beat-up mannequins, and the return of the Soy Bomb.

Spinner, and Axl

We consider ourselves a pretty humble group, in general.  No leather pants, no feet on the monitors.  Humility is a virtue.  Except today.  Today, you see, is when we share the same screen with Axl Rose.  If you head over to the great music website, AOL Spinner, you’ll find a premiere of our tune “Mannequin…

A Three Night Lovefest

We’ve been hyping it for a while.  Not in a Y2K, the-world-is-ending-repent! or in a Chinese Democracy kind of way, rather through the old-fashioned way of telling friends. After all, our three-night stand on Dec. 8, 9 and 10 at the Lizard Lounge is all about community and having a good time.  These will be…

MP3 of the Week

Very excited that our song ‘Black Boots’ is the Boston Phoenix MP3 of the week. Check out the link for that, and for details on a quick set we’ll do at Boston’s Converse store on Newbury Street ahead of the Lizard Lounge shows next week. Shoes, lizards, and a phoenix. There’s a joke in there…

A Premiere

A while back we took this photo in the studio. Now, we’re happy to premiere the tune that was all for (Doritos and all).  Nine Bullets Radio today is premiering our song “Black Boots,” which will be on our new EP, Colder Still, officially coming out January 10.  We hope you enjoy.

Radio Boston

Here’s a picture of us in the studio of Radio Boston, a show broadcast on Boston’s NPR Station, WBUR. More on this later… We’re talking to someone very important, promise. It’s definitely not a phone call to give directions to one of us lost in the garage. Nope.

The First Review

Happy to report the first review of the new EP, written by Joel Brown on Boston.com, with mentions of guitar ragers, The Decemberists and Joel’s anxiety around the next full length.  We’re working on it, swear.

Artwork, Release Shows, Giddiness

Today is exciting because we want to show off.  We’re typically pretty humble, but not today.  You see, today is a glorious day.  It’s a beautiful day… Fine, humility aside, we’re pretty bad at effectively conveying our excitement, so we’ll just stop with the dramatic language and share two big pieces of news… New EP…
