A Recap

Our own Chris created a checklist style recap of our tour down south. This is adapted from that.

AC in van dying on beginning of the trip, despite having had the AC repaired just a few weeks before. √

Van alternator failing in Baltimore but somehow making it to the club in Richmond before the van died. √

Managing to find a Sears Auto Center across the street and then getting going again to Asheville by next noon day. √

Through all this, one band member sick and confined to eating only broth.√

After the Americana Fest in Nashville, 3 taco bells, 21 layers of burrito in a single bag, and at least one person completely destroyed the next day. √

A bitter van trying to kill you in the mountains on the way to Chattanooga by loosening the steering wheel so that it feels like you’re driving on an ice skating ring. √

Finding another Sears Auto Center, this time in Bristol, TN, and this time to fix the steering. √

Finding they can’t diagnose the problem while a random drone keeps flying hovering over us, exciting and terrifying us. √

Watching half your band back up someone else and get progressively more kick ass doing it. √

Meeting a bunch of new friends √

Being amazed at the talent of Anthony D’Amato and Bombadil. √

Getting psyched for more shows with Bombadil in November and December. √

Seeing some old friends, all very generous and opening their homes to us (and our Taco Bell-ravaged bodies). √

Using bandmate’s car to get from DC back home, while he takes care of getting the van exorcised/fixed. √

Feeling lucky to have played kickass shows in new cities and pumped to go back. √

Swearing off Taco Bell for ever (or, at LEAST two days). √
