This summer, we’re working on a new album and exploring new musical territory with a great producer, at a great studio, with a great dog.* Now we are asking you to be a part of our new record by lending your support – so today, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Pledge Music campaign.
But we’ll let our intro video do the talking. It’s only 3.5 minutes long, which we bet is shorter than every Call Me Maybe mashup you’ll watch today.

So what do you get out of this deal?
We admit, we feel a little weird asking our supporters to help out. We feel a bit like NPR, interrupting regularly scheduled programming and promising we’ll get back to our usual banter. The trouble is that our voices are a lot less soothing, and we don’t have tote bags to offer you. BUT…
There’s a lot of great stuff in store if you get involved:
- Signed CDs and posters.
- A cookbook we’ve written with recipes of dishes we like on and off the road.
- Personal playlists, if you’re always on the hunt for new music.
- Personal drum lessons.
- Carefully filmed and edited videos** of our time in the studio, narrated band members.
- Lots of other stuff you can find on the Pledge page.
Most importantly, if you pledge, you get the music before anyone else.
The Catch
Your pledges only go through if we meet our goal. Which means if we don’t meet our goal, you won’t be charged. It also means that since we’ve already begun recording and accrued some costs, there’s a good chance somebody^ has a bounty on our heads.
Also, we’ll donate 10% of all post-target funds to Feeding America, whose mission is to “feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.” With one in six Americans hungry, including 17 million children, Feeding America’s work is more important than ever. Poverty and hunger are issues we care deeply about (as reflected in some of our songs), so we’re thrilled to help support this organization.
